Emma Carey has opened up about the moment she jumped out of a helicopter and her parachute didn’t open.

When her instructor failed to activate the parachute on time during a skydive in Switzerland Carey was left paralysed.

Nine years later, she’s walking again.

She still can’t feel below her belly button and has no control of her bladder or bowel.

Carey has detailed her experience in a new book, The Girl Who Fell From The Sky.

She told Deborah Knight she thought she only had 10 seconds left to live when she was falling.
