Rising star Abigail Adriano has been cast as Kim in the upcoming Opera Australia production of the award-winning show Miss Saigon, putting her studies on hold to follow her ultimate dream.

Abigail, an 18-year-old from western Sydney, has already made a name for herself by performing in Matilda the Musical and appearing on The Voice Kids.

She is also studying law and art at university but has deferred her studies to take on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

“This is such a dream come true,” said Abigail as she spoke to Deborah Knight about the experience.

Miss Saigon is set to premiere at the Sydney Opera House in August.
