$25 million flag pole plan on Harbour Bridge scrapped
Ben Fordham has exclusively revealed earlier that the NSW Government has officially backflipped on a plan to spend $25m on a new flagpole for the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Instead, the Aboriginal flag will permanently replace the NSW colours atop the iconic landmark.
The $25m price tag for the new flagpole project received immediate criticism and even NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet stated to Ben previously “it doesn’t seem to pass the pub test”.
Mr Perrottet intends to use that money to use “towards closing the gap initiatives”.
