‘Doesn’t pass the pub test’: NSW Premier to review $25 million flag
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet says he will be reviewing the $25 million cost to permanently fly the Aboriginal flag on the Sydney Harbour Bridge by the end of the year.
The Premier had previously admitted he doesn’t know why the cost of flying the flag is so high but said it’s “a small price to pay for that unification”.
Mr Perrottet told Ben Fordham “it doesn’t seem to pass the pub test”.
“The advice that I’ve received is that there are heritage concerns, all three poles will need to be replaced and all three of them are the equivalent size of a six-storey building.”

Police Minister Paul Toole told Ben Fordham he’ll be “raising this directly with the Premier”.
“I’m sure that we can do it for a lot less.”
