27-year-old set to become Chief Commissioner of NSW Scouts
On Saturday, the new Chief Commissioner of the NSW Scouts will be 27-year-old Lloyd Nurthen.
NSW Scouts promotes young people’s physical, mental, and social development through outdoor activities, leadership, community involvement, and environmental awareness programs.
Lloyd expressed to Deborah Knight that it has taken a lot of “passion and determination” to get to where he is today.
“It’s a great opportunity ahead for changing times for an organisation that is for young people to be led by a person under 30,” Lloyd said.
