‘$750k for what?’: Qantas’ 10% shareholders call for departure of Richard Goyder
Shareholders are calling for Richard Goyder to resign from his role as chairman of Qantas, as his astonishing wages were revealed.
Goyder earns around $750,000 per year in his role, all while over a thousand workers were illegally sacked by Qantas. Rachel Warehouse of the Australian Shareholders Association has called for scrutiny on his role.
“Well, it’s not like it’s a full time job, being a chairperson… I just don’t know how it demands a salary of $750,000…”, Chris O’Keefe questioned.
