Chris Smith had a dream.

He was lying in bed, when all of a sudden it fell apart beneath him.

Chris was left scrambling to put the bed back together again, but to no avail.

At the same time in the other room, his colleague Ray Hadley was saying on-air that Chris would be covering “the story” in 10 minutes time.

“I was in a flap! I didn’t hear what I supposed to be covering!” says Chris.

“And the bed just kept crumbling!

“What the hell does that mean?”
