Police hunting violent stalker allegedly attempting to abduct women

Police have released security footage as they hunt a dangerous and violent stalker in Sydney’s south-west.
On the night of December 8, a 31-year-old woman was walking from Belmore Railway Station when she noticed a man following closely behind her.
Fearing for her safety, she ran away.
Two days later, the same woman was grabbed from behind as she walked along Leylands Parade.
The attacker covered the woman’s mouth and tried to drag her towards a unit complex, before she was able to escape and call for help.
The man fled from the scene but a review of CCTV footage has revealed he followed a second woman along Leylands Parade just before the attack.
She can be seen taking refuge in the front yard of a house.
The same man reappeared at Belmore Station on December 22, following multiple women over a two-hour period but hasn’t been seen since.
Police have now released images of the man they allege is responsible for the incidents.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Albury tells Ben Fordham he’s hopeful they “can rapidly bring this matter to justice”.
“We’re so confident in the quality of the images that we’re sure that someone out there will know who this person is immediately and we’re hoping that they’ll call police.”
