Peta Credlin has slammed the son of former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull after comments he made about Tony Abbott.

Alex Turnbull has been critical of parts of the Liberal Party after his father lost leadership late last year.

Now he has told 9News he was responsible for pushing Tony Abbott out of his long-held seat of Warringah.

“I am very happy I got rid of Tony.

“Tony was very much a terrorist,” he says.

Ms Credlin tells Ben Fordham she refuses to give him the time of day.

“I’m not gonna dignify the two-bit nobody son of a failed prime minister.

“When he does something more meaningful for this country I’m happy to talk about him.”
