Alan Jones judges 2GB’s Biggest Morning Tea
The 2GB office has taken part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, raising funds for the Cancer Council.
Now in its 26th year, the annual event encourages Aussies to throw their own morning tea in support of those affected by cancer.
The baking competition was judged by our very own Alan Jones, who inspected each item with great scrutiny before awarding prizes to a tea cake, meat pies (controversial), and chocolate brownies.

We’re happy to have raised over $700 for the Cancer Council this morning. A huge thanks to everyone who was involved in organising the event.
Ray Hadley was devastated he couldn’t attend the morning tea due to his radio commitments, hungrily wondering from the confines of his studio if there would be scones.
So, he did the next best thing and had a chat with the Cancer Council’s Lyndsey Rice.
She tells Ray there are over 26,000 people across the country hosting a morning tea today.
“It’s unbelievable, just everyday people doing their bit. This year we’re looking to raise $12 million and that will fund life-saving research, prevention, advocacy and, of course, support.”
