First kids of ISIS fighters to return to Australia
The first children of ISIS fighters are reportedly set to return to Australia from Syria.
The Australian has reported three orphans, whose father died fighting for ISIS, could be back in the country within a few months.
The three children, now aged between eight and 12, were taken to Syria at an early stage before Australian authorities cracked down on travel to Syria.
Director of International Programs at Save the Children, Mat Tinkler, tells Ben Fordham we should welcome the kids home.
“These kids have been through a lot.
“We can’t give up on them. We’ve got to give them the benefit of the doubt.
“These are kids, at the end of the day, they’re not responsible for the actions of their parents.”
