It’s been 200 years since the birth of Queen Victoria

Michael talks to Scott Coleman, lecturer on the monarchy & Member of the Australian Monarchist League about the life and legacy of Queen Victoria who was born 200 years ago.

The daughter of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent & Strathearn, the fourth son of King George 111, Alexandrina Victoria was born on the 24th May 1819 living until  the 22nd January 1901.

She was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death and on the 1st May 1876, she adopted the additional title of Empress of India.
