NSW Farmers President says ‘inner city Greens’ standing in the way of new dams
The NSW Farmers Federation is calling for four new dams to be built to help drought-ravaged parts of the state.
The construction of the dams would cost nearly $3 billion worth of new dams to be built in the state to help overcome the drought.
The NSW Water Minister Melinda Pavey says the state government is looking at all options to preserve water as Sydney enters water restrictions.
NSW Farmers President James Jackson tells Ben Fordham people need to be more open to new dams.
“There hasn’t been any dams built in NSW for some time.
“There’s this sort of ideological resistance to building dams from some of the inner city Greens.”
