Police appeal for help after coward punch assault
Police are appealing for public assistance after a man ended up in hospital from a coward punch earlier this month.
On Saturday, June 15 a 23-year-old man was with some friends at the entertainment precinct at Moore Park, when they were approached by a group of unknown men.
The 23-year-old was punched from behind and fell to the ground.
He was then kicked, before the group of men fled the scene.
The man had surgery on a fractured jaw and is having ongoing treatment.
Superintendent Gavin Wood tells Ben Fordham he is hoping the footage will assist in their investigation.
“It was horrendous.
“You can’t describe it any other way, it was a coward punch.”
