Man’s ear severed in domestic attack at Belmore home
A man has had his ear partially severed in a domestic attack in Sydney’s south-west last night.
Just before 11pm, emergency services were called to a home on Paxton Avenue at Belmore following reports a man had been stabbed.
On arrival, officers found a man lying on the street with a serious laceration to his ear.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Canterbury Hospital to undergo emergency surgery.
A crime scene was established and witnesses told police they saw a man, described only as Asian in appearance, running from the area.
A woman was also taken to hospital suffering shock.
Police believe the victim and the woman had separated and she was moving out of their home.
It’s unclear who the attacker was and what sparked the incident.
