Woman goes on rampage with hammer and handsaw at Glebe
A woman has been arrested after a man was attacked with a hammer and handsaw in Sydney’s inner suburbs.
Police were called to a unit complex at Glebe on Sunday morning after members of the public spotted blood in a common area.
Officers found a 62-year-old man with head injuries in an apartment nearby.
He had allegedly been attacked with a hammer and a handsaw and was taken to nearby RPA Hospital in a stable condition.
More than 24 hours later, a 60-year-old woman known to the injured man was arrested in Glebe, after another alleged incident.
Police say she smashed a door and assaulted a 36-year-old man.
The woman has spent the night behind bars and will face court today on several charges.
