Ben Fordham has ripped into an ABC radio presenter after he criticised Leigh Sales’ interview with celebrity chef George Calombaris.

7.30 host Leigh Sales interviewed the disgraced chef on Wednesday after he was caught underpaying staff to the tune of $8 million.

But ABC radio host Jon Faine was no fan of the interview, slamming it for being “disappointing” and appearing like an ad for Calombaris.

Ben Fordham wasn’t impressed with the stance, saying Jon Faine is hardly in a position to judge Leigh Sales.

“This is the man who had to apologise after a shocker of an interview with disability activist Carly Findlay!

“Earlier this year the same bloke falsely accused a Herald Sun photographer of setting up a photo.

“I don’t know Jon Faine, but he comes across to me as a complete and utter knob.”
