Peta Credlin supports drug testing politicians and public servants
Peta Credlin has come out in support of the idea to drug test both politicians and public servants.
After the government proposed a trial to drug test welfare recipients, Senator Jacqui Lambie said she’d only support the idea if politicians are also subjected to the testing, given their salaries are paid for by taxpayers.
Political commentator Peta Credlin is also supporting the plan, saying it should even be extended to public servants.
Ben Fordham: “You spent a lot of time in Canberra. Would there be some worried politicians?”
Peta Credlin: “I think there would be. I have to say there’d be some worried staff. I think drug test the whole lot of them, I have no issue with that.”
Former Labor senator Graham Richardson is also on board with the idea.
“What’s wrong with drug testing politicians?
“You can’t start talking about it for others and think that you yourself should be immune from any sort of scrutiny as well.”
