Today marks the 18th anniversary of the attack on the New York City’s Twin Towers.

American Airlines Flight 11 was hijacked by Al-Qaeda and flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001.

Shortly after a second plane hit the South Tower.

2,977 people were killed in the attack as the towers collapsed.

Steve Price was on-air on the night of September 11.

“I had a guy call me from a taxi in New York, I was on air for about 12 hours, and he just felt that he needed to ring.

“He was in a cab and there were people jumping off the buildings around him and it was just horrifying.”
