A listener’s hilarious story about how she met her husband had Ray Hadley in stitches this morning.

Ray was reflecting on his old days at 2UE, where colleagues had to seek the company’s permission to date, when he got a call from Margaret.

She wanted to share the story of how she met her now-husband at the drive-in movies after accidentally getting into the wrong car.

“I opened the back door, went to put my leg in and I felt this hand on my leg and I thought ‘oh my goodness, I’m in the wrong car!’

“I thought my luck had changed!

“Anyway, we shared the food. Now we share two beautiful sons and we’ve been married 44 years.”
