Paramedic bashed during charity bike ride
An off-duty paramedic has been bashed by a group of teenagers during a 1,000-kilometre charity ride for children’s cancer.
NSW Ambulance Paramedic Daniel Mansbridge was assaulted after he was knocked off his bike.
He tells Ben Fordham it all started when he cycled past a bunch of kids on his charity ride.
“One of the kids turned around and jumped out in front of me and yelled and brushed my shoulder which put me off balance.
“I could have quite easily ended up over in the oncoming traffic with a lot more serious injuries.”
He says when he went to find the boy and tell him how reckless it was he was met by a group of teenagers who then beat him.
He suffered bruising across his face and a fracture under his eye.
