New South Wales could leave the Murray-Darling Basin Agreement unless changes are made.

Alan Jones is broadcasting from Bourke and Dubbo this week, highlighting the crippling drought our farmers are facing.

The Premier and her ministers are in the region as well, holding community cabinet meetings to hear from those at the coalface.

Gladys Berejiklian joined Alan Jones at the Bourke Bowling Club on Monday, saying there is no doubt the plan needs to be reviewed.

“When the plan was written up we weren’t in deep, deep drought.

“And I think it works in theory when everything’s fine and getting adequate rainfall but now we’re in deep, deep drought.

“I’ve put this to various decision-makers around the country; my South Australian colleague, Victoria is on the same page as New South Wales because we bear the brunt of it.”
