Say Nope to Dope: Legalising casual cannabis use “opens Pandora’s box”

Drug law reform, particularly legislation concerning the recreational use of marijuana, is a highly contentious issue within Australia and New Zealand.

Medicalised marijuana is legal within both countries but is heavily regulated due to the health risks posed by the substance. With New Zealand’s referendum looming, many are divided about the proposed legislation that will allow residents as young as 20 to legally grow and buy their own bud.

Say Nope to Dope campaign spokesperson, Aaron Ironside, joins John Stanley, warning that legalising casual cannabis use “opens Pandora’s box”.
