Chris Richardson, Deloitte Access Economics Partner, joins Michael to discuss government welfare reforms unveiled yesterday.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a rise to the JobSeeker payment which will see more than 1.95 million Aussies on the dole receiving a boost of $50 a fortnight.

The boost follows a long-running campaign from welfare advocates and is the single biggest increase since 1986… raising the rate from 37.5 percent to 41.2 percent of the national minimum wage.
