Dr Lurion De Mello, Senior Lecturer, Department of Applied Finance at Macquarie University’s Business School, joins Michael regarding Sydney’s average price for regular unleaded petrol which is still at a 13-year high.

The NRMA’s Peter Khoury points out that normally motorists are able to do their research and shop around for the best price.

“But in the current environment, with millions of Sydneysiders restricted to a five-kilometre radius, shopping around isn’t an option that leaves many families and workers exposed to very high prices,” he said.
