Rebel gives back: Hollywood star donates $1 million to Aussie theatre
Rebel Wilson has donated $1 million to the theatre company where her love of acting shone.
The money will go towards the Australian Theatre For Young People’s new home in Walsh Bay, to be named the Rebel Theatre.
Wilson signed up for weekly acting classes at ATYP at the age of 19 after being rejected by the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
“The Australian Theatre For Young People were so inclusive and encouraging me to be unique and different,” told Ben Fordham.
