Sophie Monk’s sexy and sultry new single ‘Nice To Meet You’ is a return to form for the classically-trained singer and TV personality.

She told Deborah Knight she’s been singing professionally since the age of eight; long before forming girl group Bardot on 2000s reality show Popstars.

“It’s a different sound for me. I think people expect me to be really poppy, but … that’s not who I am.

“So I went back to my roots and did some jazz.”

Monk has produced her new song independently, meaning a future album heavily depends on the track’s reception.

“It costs quite a bit … If people like it, I definitely will, but if they don’t I’m not sure what I’ll do!”
