Lakemba MP’s ‘greatest success’ in bid to get south-west Sydney vaccinated
South-west Sydney leaders have made a remarkable effort to get religious and ethnic communities vaccinated.
Lakemba MP Jihad Dib told Ray Hadley the first dose rate is up to 78 per cent in his electorate, vindicating his and others’ hard work.
“We’ve really pushed hard for the community vaccination hubs, and that’s, I think, been the greatest success that we’ve had.
“We’ve had … hubs at the mosque, we’ve had it at the Greek church, we’ve had it at the Maronite church, the PCYC.
“Make it easy, take away any of the obstacles, and make sure that we address people’s vaccine hesitancy.”
