Australia is experiencing its biggest nation-wide jump in property prices on record, with the market growing at its fastest pace in 32 years.

However, Domain analyst Dr Nicola Powell told Deborah Knight there’s a “silver lining” on the way for first home buyers.

“We’ve started to pick up a different trend, which does suggest we’re likely to see that pace of growth start to ease.

“We tend to see the premium end of the market see the biggest price growth, but we’re now starting to see that shift towards the mid-price areas.

“It will see conditions ease.”
