Sean the snake catcher’s ultimate guide to a snake-safe summer
As the weather warms up, more snakes are being spotted above ground in residential areas.
Sean Cade, AKA the official Ray Hadley Morning Show snake catcher, told Mark Levy it’s never safe to approach a snake, either to catch or kill it, even if you think you know what species it is.
“If they come across a snake … I try to tell people to stay as calm as possible, not too many sudden movements or anything to startle the snake – they’re purely defensive creatures.
“Just keep your eye on the snake, walk back slowly, and once you’re out of its personal space … that snake will feel a little bit more relaxed, and more than likely go on its own way.”
