NSW Blues coach Brad ‘Freddy’ Fittler has rejected calls to let the NRL Bunker rule on forward passes, instead advocating for referees to be left to their own devices.

Freddy predicts the Bunker will eventually be taken out of the game almost entirely, and reserved for try decisions.

“Leave the game to the referees,” he told James Willis.

“We’ve become such whingers – we whinge over everything, the reason we brought the Bunker in was because we whinged.

“We’re now getting rid of the Bunker because we whinge.”
