‘Absolute timewasters’ at Inner West Council try their hand at international politics
Sydney’s Inner West Council has put a debate to ban nuclear-powered submarines in NSW waters on their next agenda.
Jim Wilson was flabbergasted the “absolute timewasters” would choose to focus on international politics, rather than road repairs and bin collections.
“Your council has completely lost it, and have turned their back on delivering essential services for delivering non-essential tripe.”
Independent councillor Victor Macri told Jim he was “shocked” by the proposed debate, furious the council aren’t prioritising genuine local issues like public park restrooms and a traffic problem at Tempe.
“People vote along party lines, and that’s the problem.
“The Greens, the Labor Party, and the Libs they’ve all got … to fight their battles: what they’re doing is turning the Inner West into Stalingrad.”

Liberal councillor Julie Passas joined the outcry over the proposed ban, telling Jim the Greens and Labor councillors have been “a dismal failure”, wasting Inner West ratepayers’ money.
“We’ve put up signs [saying] ‘no racism’, let’s condemn Queen Victoria, while we have people out there hurting. We have potholes everywhere.
“They want to accuse the Liberals of pork-barrelling? This is a whole pig farm in the Inner West!”
