James Willis has spoken to rugby league’s commentary and on-field stars to preview the penultimate weekend of the 2021 NRL Premiership.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs face off against the Manly Sea Eagles tonight at a delayed start time of 8:05pm, due to traffic affecting the Manly team.

Senior Rabbitohs star Jai Arrow told James Willis he’s determined to be on the Premiership-winning team after overcoming a challenging few months, owing in part to a COVID suspension.

“As a person, I feel like I’m someone who doesn’t dwell on things … who doesn’t let things get to him.

“I sat down and spoke to the team and the coaching staff and said I owed them for the rest of the year to play good footy.

“I feel like I’ve done my job, but I’m not satisfied yet – I won’t be satisfied until we’re there … holding that trophy.”

The Continuous Call Team’s Mark ‘Piggy’ Riddell will be on air from 7pm for the Rabbitohs vs Manly game, and on Saturday afternoon from 1pm for the Storm vs Panthers final which kicks off at 4pm.

He told James Penrith’s ‘walking wounded’ could end their campaign this weekend.

“The pressure is all on Melbourne, because they’re out-and-out favourites to win this game comfortably and go through to the Grand Final.

“[Moses] Leota … is out again for this preliminary final – I think that’s a big blow to Penrith, and they’re going to have to be at their best if they’re going to be any chance.”
