NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller says police won’t be checking vaccination passports in hospitality venues once the state starts opening up.

October 11 is firming up as the date Sydney opens to fully vaccinated people.

Mr Fuller told Ben Fordham police won’t be stopping people to check vaccination passports, but they will assist hospitality venues that encounter issues with unvaccinated patrons.

“We will not be walking through restaurants and cafes and pubs, checking if people are double vaccinated.

“We are anticipating there will be businesses calling us for assistance on the right to refuse someone entry to their premises.”
