Water Minister Melinda Pavey has confirmed she will run for the leadership of the NSW National Party.

John Barilaro has announced his resignation from politics.

Ms Pavey told Ray Hadley as the longest-serving National MP she will run for the leadership to be voted on Wednesday.

“I’ve almost had 20 years in Parliament.

“I just want to continue serving our community.”
