Manpower vs horsepower: Which species will claim Royal Randwick glory?
An Olympian and a champion racehorse will go head-to-head at Royal Randwick Racecourse this morning, to promote the TAB Everest.
The TAB Everest, the world’s richest horse race on turf, is on Saturday October 16 with $15 million in prize money on the line.
Australia’s fastest man Rohan Browning will take off on a 100m sprint to the finish line with Lost and Running, ridden by renowned jockey Hugh Bowman, chasing him with 220m to run.
Browning is backing himself to win the race, but admitted to Ben Fordham the surface certainly favours the horse.
“It’s certainly the most … unique race in my life.”
Bowman challenged the Olympian’s confidence.
“He’s achieved a great deal, but he’s never had a horse chasing him.
“I’m hoping that I might be able to help him achieve a personal best.”
