‘ABC owes our veterans some respect’: Ben Fordham slams ‘unacceptable’ article
Ben Fordham is slamming the ABC for a failure to apologise to veterans over a claim Australian soldiers killed an Afghan prisoner.
A letter requesting an apology and a correction has been sent to the national broadcaster on behalf of ‘November Platoon’ in response to an article published in October last year.
The article was based on an account from an unnamed US Marine who alleged November Platoon executed a prisoner in Afghanistan in 2012.
Former November Platoon Commander Heston Russell told Ben the claims are a lie.
“This is unacceptable and we won’t rest until it is resolved,” Ben said.
“The ABC owes our veterans some respect.”
