Prayers answered: WA community ‘over the moon’ to welcome Cleo Smith home
The entire country is breathing a sigh of relief today, hearing the news that missing four-year-old Cleo Smith has been found.
St Mary Star Of The Sea Parish’s Father Steve Casey, connected to Cleo and her family through her school, led the Carnarvon community in a vigil for the little girl last week.
He told Deborah Knight he was amazed to receive the good news in the early hours of the morning.
“People are just … over the moon.
“The mums and dads in the town … were just shaken to the foundations by these last two weeks.
“A whole sombre mood in the town has been lifted.”
