Jim Wilson questions Labor leader’s ‘mettle’ amid ‘gaslighting’ accusation
Jim Wilson has called on Opposition leader Anthony Albanese to ask better questions of the government’s nuclear submarine deal.
Mr Albanese has “joined the pile-on” on Prime Minister Scott Morrison, accusing him of “gaslighting” the French President, despite previously offering bipartisan support for the AUKUS submarine deal over the French contract.
Jim Wilson called out the Labor leader’s hypocrisy, accusing him of backing the French above Australian interests.
“Where do you stand on this subs deal, Anthony Albanese?
“Do you have the mettle to do this, Albo? You know what they say, if you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.
“Marrickville isn’t a suburb of Paris … remember what country you’re representing.”
