Boxer Billy Dib speaks out about confronting experience with trolls
Senior representatives of more than 20 Australian sporting organisations have pledged to work together to tackle the trolling of athletes.
The roundtable, led by the eSafety Commissioner, discussed the “very high” threshold for what attracts police charges, Sydney Morning Herald chief rugby league reporter Adrian Proszenko explained.
Australian professional boxer Billy Dib expressed sympathy for the targets of vicious online bullying.

“I’ve been trolled that much during my boxing career; there’s been points where I’ve had people say to me ‘go kill yourself’, ‘I hope you get knocked out’, wishing really bad things upon me.
“They don’t even know me!”
