Safe houses raided: NSW Police hot on the heels of Mostafa Baluch
NSW Police say their hunt for a drug kingpin is going “very well” amid raids in Sydney’s south-west.
Mostafa Baluch allegedly cut his ankle monitor after being granted bail just three days earlier while facing a life sentence on drug importation charges.
Police recovered about $250,000, 200 grams of cocaine and money counting machines when raiding two houses in Potts Hill and Yagoona.
Detective Superintendent Rob Critchlow told Ben Fordham they’re making “excellent progress”.
“It appears to be safe houses for a syndicate.
“His departure has made us really focus on this group and a lot of people are going to get locked up as a result of our investigations.
“We think we’re pretty close behind him.”
