REVEALED | Malcolm Turnbull’s history of interfering with the media
Ben Fordham has called out Malcolm Turnbull for telling lies about media interference.
Yesterday, Ben revealed a story from 2008 where Malcolm had phoned the Nine bureau in Canberra.
According to several sources, Malcolm demanded to know what angle they would be taking on a negative story.
Malcolm is then claimed to have warned the bureau, “my tentacles reach far and wide.”
Mr Turnbull denies the claim, tweeting: “Ben Fordham’s account is fantasy – right down to the tentacles.”
But several sources have now backed up the story.

Ben Fordham has also revealed Malcolm threatened journalist John Lyons with the same phrase 30 years ago.
He told Lyons, “my tentacles spread to New York.”
“Malcolm, you’ve been bragging about the size of your tentacles since 1991,” Ben said.
“Does that sound like the man who had tentacles reaching far and wide?”
Ben pointed out that in Malcolm’s own autobiography- he reveals a critical phone call with Rupert Murdoch.
Malcolm asked for News Corp to back off … or the Coalition would lose the election.
“Malcolm- the game is up,” Ben said.
