Plan to make Sydney’s long lunch a 10,000-people annual event
The NSW Premier wants to make Sydney’s long lunch an annual event, stopping traffic for the national drawcard.
More than a kilometre of George Street was turned into a food and entertainment hub on Friday, to signal the return of the hospitality industry after lockdown.
Restaurateur Luke Mangan stopped traffic with a 650-people long lunch and told Ben Fordham he’d welcome an expansion.
“The talk is to take it right down from Park St down to Circular Quay.”
