Holiday traffic across ‘hermit QLD’ border is only getting more chaotic
Border communities are facing long delays to get a pass to enter QLD this holiday season.
Tweed Shire Councilor James Owen told Chris Smith he isn’t looking forward to the holiday rush along the border.
“We just want to get about our lives,” he told Chris.
“The decisions of the QLD government has really ripped our community apart.”
Chris said the Tweed community need their own lane at border stops to avoid the traffic.
“I’ve been asking for this since the OLD government imposed the border restrictions.
“The reality is we are a different state, [the government] really doesn’t care.”
