The ‘issue’ that has left new Transport Minister David Elliott ‘cranky’
The new Transport Minister is committed to trying to transform the problem-plagued portfolio.
Ahead of being removed as police minister and appointed transport minister, David Elliott told Joe Hildebrand he’s already met with the unions.
“I’m not gonna sugarcoat it – there are some problems, there are some real problems.
“Someone has signed commitments which meant I can’t guarantee that there’ll be always locally-manufactured rolling stock or ferries.
“I’m a bit cranky about inheriting that little issue.”
