A Queensland councilor facing an OIA investigation has spoken out about the handling of his case and how long it’s taking for a verdict.

Barcaldine Mayor Sean Dillon is being probed for comments he made about his city’s medical system, and its capacity to deal with the vaccine rollout.

Nearly two months on from being put on notice, he still hasn’t heard anything, leaving him perplexed and frustrated by what he claims is an erosion of freedom of expression.
