‘Hospitals in the sky’: Remote healthcare to reach new heights next year
A fleet of ‘hospitals in the sky’ will be flying over NSW in the New Year.
Five new ambulance aircrafts will be in operation from January 1, improving transport speeds for patients in the bush.
Regional Health Minister Bronnie Taylor told Mark Levy the rollout will help save more lives.
“The great thing about this is that it’s actually been designed by clinicians and doctors and nurses that’ve actually been using these flights and these services and these planes.
“This is a gamechanger for the bush and they’ll be able to get in faster, quicker and better.”
