Teachers union shares concerns ahead of return to school
Education officials will sit down with the teachers union tomorrow to discuss what safety measures will be in place ahead of the school year.
The Premier is committed to having all children in the classroom on the first day of term one.
But some parent groups want the holidays extended to give parents more time to secure vaccines for primary school students.
NSW Teachers Federation Angelo Gavrielatos told Mark Levy they are expecting major hurdles.
“A 2000 per cent increase in the cases compared to late last year … and at that time we were getting on average 45 schools per day impacted by cases.”
