Teachers union slams NSW Premier’s back to school promise
The teachers’ union has slammed the NSW Premier’s promise of a return to school.
Dominic Perrottet has said February 1 is the non-negotiable date for NSW children to return to school, with RAT kits critical to the plan.
NSW Teachers Federation President Angelo Gavrielatos told Mark Levy that is “of concern”.
“Those statements don’t help.
“I don’t think we’ve done too well with respect to negotiating in this global pandemic.”
Mr Gavrielatos says there “harsh reality” is schools will be deemed non-operational as a result of COVID cases.
