Australians are being encouraged to eat certain foods to help combat COVID-19.

As hundreds of thousands of Australians become infected with the virus, there are some things you can do to help your body fight it.

Nutritionist Susie Burrell told Chris Smith nutrient foods can help ease symptoms.

“It’s not a time to be ordering Uber Eats … I would suggest vitamin C rich foods every couple of hours, so things like berries, fruit smoothies, fruit and vegetable juices.”

Zinc-rich foods, such as oysters and seafood, are also recommended.
